一天,從夏侯推薦的一篇Vivienne Westwood雜誌訪問中看到這段……
Q: What do you think are the greatest evils in the world?
VW: Aldous Huxley said there are three evils in the world today in one of his essays. One of the greatest was non-stop distraction. If you're bring bombarded with pop music, rushing around, and constantly watching films you're just soaking it all up and not thinking for yourself. You need to stop and think. If you do that you are no longer a victim of propaganda. I did a collection called Propaganda, then I did a collection Active Resistance as I thought you can' t just have propaganda, you have to have something more positive. Switch on then switch off. Essentially what I'm trying to say is every time you go to the theatre or visit an exhibition you are taking part. You are part of the resistance to propaganda. This is my campaign. People don' t have ideas anymore. If you to look like a rebel then dress like a punk (sarcastically). For example I don't want a hamburger right now I want something more. I took all this from a prostitute that I used to know. Whenever she went out for dinner before had sex with them she would always order the most expensive thing on the menu. This is her message "I Am Expensive” so I used that as a print also. The other side of it is that we are costing the earth and costing suffering. We do have a responsibility to think about these slogans. [TRADITION PREPARED HER. CHANGE WILL DEFINE HER ; i-D February 2007 ,We got the issue ISSUE]
看後久久不能平復,給她說中了自己的劣根性,厲害,還會看Naomi Klein的書《No Logo: No Space, No Choice, No Jobs》呢!
